We're a mobile operation and we wouldn't have it any other way. It means lower overheads, lower prices, and more time for you to enjoy the water rather than filling in forms on a counter.
When we say we meet you at the Lifeguard station at Hove Lawns, that's exactly where we'll be. It's the hut on the seafront just next to the public toilets. You'll spot it easily (we'll be the ones with the big blue boards!)
There's no shop, no queue and zero faffing about. Just boards, sunshine (sometimes), and the sea (all the time). Usually in that order.
Paddleboard hire Brighton: where exactly do we meet?
Here's what happens, step by step:
Find the Lifeguard station
Head to Hove Lawns seafront. The station is almost exactly south of First Avenue. Look for the public toliets and the hut is just behind. We'll be nearby with the boards.
We check you in
We'll confirm your booking, check your ID (over 18s only), and ask you to sign your waiver if you haven't already done so digitally. This takes about two minutes.
Safety briefing
We run through the kit, show you how to adjust the paddle, talk you through the leash and buoyancy aid, and cover the basics of where to paddle and what to do if you end up in the water. It's straightforward and friendly. Not a lecture.
You're on the water
That's genuinely it. We carry the board down to the waterline with you, you get on, and off you go. We'll be around when you get back.
What to bring to your paddleboard session at Hove Lawns
Honestly, not much. We provide the board, paddle, leash and buoyancy aid. You just need:
Swimwear or board shorts. You might get wet. Probably will, if we're being straight with you. Embrace it.
A towel. For after. Brighton shingle dries you out pretty fast but a towel helps.
Sunscreen. The reflection off the water catches people out. Put more on than you think you need.
Something to secure your phone. We provide a waterproof phone case with every hire. You'll want to use it. The views from out there are genuinely worth photographing.
Leave your valuables either locked in your car or with someone on the beach. There's nowhere for us to store things.
First time on a paddleboard? Here's how to get on
Water shoes are ideal but not essential. Brighton's shingle is brutal on bare feet walking down to the waterline. Flip flops work too, just take them off before you get on the board. We also provide water shoes as part of the kit.
Standing up: the question everyone asks
Getting on the board. Everyone worries about this. The Bluefin Cruise 10'8 is one of the most stable boards you can hire. It's wide, it's solid, and it's very forgiving. Our advice: start on your knees, get comfortable, then stand up slowly. Most people are standing within five minutes. Some people prefer to stay on their knees the whole session. Both are completely fine. No pressure either way.

How long is a paddleboard session in Brighton?
We'll be back at the agreed time to collect. Morning sessions end by 1pm, afternoon sessions by 6pm, full day sessions by 6pm. We;re very happy to work out a bespoke time including a Sunset Pickup, but you'll need to get in touch with us first to make sure we're available. In anay event, just come back to where you started and we'll take the kit from there.
One last thing
The West Pier is out there. On a clear day the windfarm is on the horizon. The city is behind you. It's a genuinely special stretch of water and we never get tired of it.

Where exactly is the Lifeguard station at Hove Lawns?
It's on the seafront at Hove Lawns, roughly halfway between the Peace Statue and Hove Lagoon. It's the big orange and yellow hut. You can't miss it.
